The goodsamaritan top cop helped a road accident victim and took her to the government general hospital in Chennai on Tuesday.
The police officer - additional director-general of police C Sylendra Babu - was on his way to his office in the DGP's office when he saw the woman struggling on the road near Santhome at 9.30am.
While the police personnel and the passers-by were turned as mere spectators, the police officer got down from his vehicle and all of a sudden, he lifted the woman lying on the road on his arms and kept her upright inside the police vehicle.
Sylendra Babu instructed his driver to head on to the government general hospital. There also he didn't wait for the stretcher, he lifted the victim on his arms and took her to the emergency ward.
People and the onlookers appreciated the commendable job of a top cop on the city road.
